Unique Post Cards by David Onodera

This view, taken about 1970, shows a classic Standard station located on Burrard Street near Helmecken in downtown Vancouver. St. Paul’s Hospital is in the background.

Frank Ponteri’s garage was one of the last full service gas stations in downtown Toronto. This 1982 view shows the petite Gulf station next to a colourful mural highlighting the adjacent St. Lawrence Market.

In October 1983, regular gas was 49.0 cents per litre in Vancouver. This view shows BC Transit 2408, a 1954 CC&F T48A trolley coach heading south on Main Street at Terminal Avenue.

A fine September 1979 day finds three PCC street cars operated by the Toronto Transit Commission resting at the Roncesvalles Carhouse. TTC 4337 was one of 100 Class A-6 units built in 1948 by CC&F.

All of these cards are new, laser-printed with colour on both sides. The reverse of each card includes a description of the view. All cards are 5.25 inches wide by 4.25 inches high and are printed on card stock. Click on a thumbnail view for a larger look at each card.
