City of Swift Current (SK)

Swift Current is a city of approximately 18,000 people located in southwestern Saskatchewan, about 250 kilometres west of Regina by car. It currently operates Tel-a-Bus (demand responsive) and Access Transit (paratransit) services. In parallel with the City’s Transportation Master Plan, improvements are being made to the current transit services.

Ono-Can Communications is playing a lead role in advising the City of how it can best improve transit services to its citizens. Work to date has included:

• Completing an in-depth assessment of the current transit services
• Developing and conducting a citizen survey to obtain additional feedback
• Assisted with the complete procurement process to purchase replacement Tel-a-Bus vehicles
• Prepared a draft plan on how to improve transit in the near term.
